Hey everyone!
What? Who is this guy right? I know, I know... same old excuses guys. Just been busy with life and work.

Things have lightened up a bit here and I figured I should start promoting my next convention that I will be attending, while I have this time.

So yes, I will be attending this years Calgary Expo!
It's been a few years since going and I always wanted to go back. I had a great time at the show and with the fans, so I'm really excited to be there this year.

As with all my shows, I will be selling prints and doing commissions. (Head sketches, bust shots and full body shots as per usual.)
Commissions are limited this year so if you are interested please contact/note me ahead of time.
I'll be keeping a limited amount open just for the show so don't worry if you can't lock me in ahead of time. (just get to the chopper er.. table quick!)

When I have more information about where I will be sitting I will try to post a map of the show floor, with sweet directions.

In the meantime, I hope everyone is doing well and I look forward to seeing some of you in Calgary!

Hey all! I hope everyone is doing well.

I keep promising to post more and well that's just not going to happen now.
I was recently promoted at work which is taking all of my time, but it's exciting stuff so it's cool.
(can't tell you what I'm working on yet either...sorry!)

Anyways, I just posted some concept art for a personal project I'm slowly tackling. I had some time to myself today so I busted it out and I hope you guys dig it.
During the year I had the opportunity to do some unique concepts at work and although not character work, they turned out pretty cool and I realized I should do more of these in my spare time.

I used to draw these bizarre half machine half girls in college and they were pretty nuts to say the least.. but I always wanted to revisit them one day.
So she's the first of hopefully many more. (When I have the time...)

Hey everyone and for all you Canadians I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving weekend!

I just remembered the other day that a piece of artwork I did for Udon over the summer actually made it into an art show, much to my surprise--> iam8bit

Anyways, just going to dig it up here and post it as well, since it's been awhile I noticed!

I've been busying myself these last couple of weeks trying to get organized with Aardehn and planning for next years convention season. I plan to return a little more actively here with some new arts as well so stay tuned.

Hello everyone!

We're just 2 days away from FAN EXPO TORONTO so I wanted to update everyone on where, when, what, etc, etc... Check it out below -

Where -

I'll be sitting at P11a in the back corner of artist alley.

When -

I'll be there Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday all day, from start to finish!

What -

I'll be selling 11x17 and 12x18 large prints for the new low price of 10$!! Small prints will be just 5$!
Just a little way of saying thank you Toronto for all the support you have given me over the years. (keep it coming!)

Also for the first time, I will be selling original watercolor and inked paintings of your favorite characters, in frames even!
I only have a few of them so better get there quick if you want them!

As always I'll be doing commissions all day every day for those interested.

***UPDATE***  I will also be selling all of my original art!! This includes Street Fighter, Darkstalker and many other comic pages and pinups from over the years!

I just happened to check the other day while explaining Deviant Art to someone and I was floored to see how many people watch me. I then noticed I was closing in on 6000!

I have to say a big THANK YOU to you all for all the support over the years and sticking by when posts we're slow or almost non existent.

This year has been crazy as always and as usual bigger plans for next year are already in the works.

I will be posting an update to the Fan Expo convention I will be attending next week in Toronto, with regards to what I'll be selling, drawing and table location, so stay tuned.

Also a new post coming in a few minutes which I was waiting for until I hit 6K.

So the next and last show of 2012 for me is the Toronto Fan Expo [link] from August 23rd to the 26th. I plan to be there each and every day, all day as usual.
As always I will have prints and will be open for commissions. I also plan to bring some new stuff, which I will post as I get nearer to the show.

Like SDCC, I am taking pre commissions again for this show. If anyone is interested in either a penciled bust shot or full body shot let me know.
I am opening 5 slots for now as I realized in San Diego that more then that can be overwhelming.

Hello everyone.

As you've probably noticed by now, I changed my name here to E.V.IL. or Eric Vedder illustration.
For the last couple of years I felt I was disconnected from the internet and all the amazing networking sites available to everyone.
This was in most part due to my full time job and life commitments.
This ultimately led me to rethink myself and my online presence.(Hence the nerdy skull logo)

SDCC pre commiccion slots

I've been contacted by a few people inquiring about San Diego comic con commissions and I decided I would post here for those that might be attending and want on my list.

For head sketches, just come to the table as I will most likely have time to work on those.

This list is for BUST shots and FULL BODY shots only and obviously only for those attending. Also this list is to hold your place in line so to speak as I won't have time to start working on these until closer to the show or at the show, where you will pick them up.

Hey everyone.

I finally have my personal website up and running again. Unfortunately, over the summer I forgot to renew my domain name and wouldn't you know it, someone decided to swoop in and take it from me and is now sitting on it, with nothing on the site of course... ah well.

Anyways, my bad and will be the last time I do that. My new website url is almost the same but it's www.ericvedder.ca now.
I will be updating it over the next month hopefully and will let you all know as I have a bunch of new art I'm hoping I can show.

Well it's been some time since I posted anything here and I wanted to get back to it finally.
2011 was an awesome year for me and it looks like 2012 will be even better! I hope this is true for all of you.

My art show last week was a blast and I'm looking forward to doing another one perhaps late this year or next.

I have a few projects lined up already and when I'm able to, I'll share em with you all. Along side that I plan to return from my Aardehn hiatus and plan to wrap up the story this year (crossing fingers).

I plan to attend a few Toronto conventions again and for the first time I'll be attending Emerald City Comicon in March! On my birthday actually, so swing on by and wish me a happy bday if attending. I always say I'm not sure if I'm going to attend San Diego Con but i always end up doing so, as it's a blast.... but we'll see!

I'm considering opening up myself for commissions soon but no sure if I have the time.. I will keep you posted!

Anyways, hope everyone is doing well and I look forward to sharing more artwork with you all this year.

Well it's that time again for one of the craziest shows out there and I can't wait to go again. I will be sitting with the Udon crew as always, having a blast drawing and chatting with everyone.

We are located at booth #5037. My scheduled booth times, as far as I know, will be as follows-

Thurs - 9:30 -1:30 and 5-7
Fri - 11:30 -1:30 and 5-7
Sat - 11:30 -1:30 and 3-7
Sun - 11:30 -1:30 and 3-7

So yeah, pretty much the same each day.
Anyways, try and swing by and check out all the art books Udon has for sale as well as the talented bunch of guys I have the honor to be sitting beside.
